AJAX – A1079317
Safe - 7-6-2016 Brooklyn Rescue: Feline Rescue of a SI Please honor your pledges: http://felinerescueofstatenisland.org/donation/
**SAFE 07/06/16** OUTRAGEOUS! So, a whole group of cats entered the ACC from a hoarding situation on June 29th, and COMET and AJAX are two of those cats. The ACC has done just about NOTHING to help these guys and girls get out of there safely; one definitely gets the impression the shelter gives ZERO effs about all members of Group/Litter #K16-063478. AJAX didn’t have a photo last night, which probably “won” him another night on the At-Risk List. He is EXPNOCHILD rated, and he’s FIV POSITIVE, and this 8-year old boy is on the public list tonight. Please work quickly to find a foster/adopter for AJAX, because that didn’t happen last night and he will NOT get another chance.

07/01/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Ajax was curled up in the litter box and slow blinks as you approach. Reaction when softly spoken to: Ajax slowly turns his body towards the wall and lowers his head in the litter box. Reaction to cage door opening: Ajax remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Ajax tolerates petting and closes his eyes when touched along his body. He doesn’t move or come to the front and turns away slowly trying to avoid contact. Reaction to being picked up: Macy struggles when attempting to pick her up. She backs up, hisses then swats and attempts to bite. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Ajax tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
