ZOEY lived successfully with children and was respectful with another cat….She’s 11 years young and a real go-getter….”Her favorite toys are lacer pointer and wands to chase. She enjoys looks out the window and lounging on the sofa. At night she sleeps next to the owner bed”…ZOEY is already SPAYED and she is ready to go to a new “furever” home!! 05/22/16 18:32 BASIC INFORMATION Zoey is a spayed, brown tabby DSH that is 11 years old. The cat was a gift to the owner when she was 2 year old. Zoey has been the family pet and a loving member of the family. The owner is surrendering Zoey due to moving to a private apartment that does not allow pets. Zoey has no known illness. SOCIALIZATION Zoey has been around children ages 4 and up. She solicits attention from children and then walks away. She displays the same behavior from stranger. She allows being picked up and petted. She is affectionate and playful around family. Zoey has never been lived with dogs. However she has lived around one cat, she was respect toward her space but they never engaged in play. BEHAVIOR Zoey is tolerant of all handling. She is fine around children and strangers. Zoey has never received a bath but allows dry bath with a wet rag. Zoey has never had her nails trimmed. But she is fine going into her carrier and being restrained. She has no bite history. She always uses her open litter box. FOR NEW FAMILIES TO KNOW Zoey is described as affectionate, independent and mellow. She allows being picked up for a few and petted for hours. She enjoys dry or wet food fancy feast. Her favorite toys are lacer pointer and wands to chase. She enjoys looks out the window and lounging on the sofa. At night she sleeps next to the owner bed. Zoey enjoys the company of people but also enjoys being on her own. BEHAVIOR DURING INTAKE During intake Zoey came out of her carrier. She stood still to be collard, scanned and photographed. Zoey allowed being petted and gently picked up.

As per previous owner, Zoey has been around children ages four and up. She solicits attention from children and then walks away. She displays the same behavior with stranger. She allows being picked up and petted. She is affectionate and playful around family. Zoey has never been lived with dogs. However she has lived around one cat, she was respect toward her space but they never engaged in play. Our enrichment facilitator has interacted with Zoey and at the time she was comes forward curiously. She allows petting with slow approach but seems unsure. Loves wellness treats. Reaction to assessor: Zoey does not come to front but appeared calm and relaxed When spoken quietly: does not come to front but appeared calm and relaxed Reaction to door cage opening: Zoey slowly comes forward to sniff the assessor’s finger Reaction to touch: Zoey allows limited petting before backing hisses and growling Try picking cat up: Did not attempt Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Zoey was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment she was displaying agitated behavior. Zoey does not seek attention from the assessor. I was able to pet her and interact with her in a limited way before she start hissing and growling. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parent with no childrren.
