I came in the shelter as a OWNER SUR on 11/15/2016 from NY 11374, owner surrender reason stated was MOVE2PRIVA.

11/15/16 19:19 Basic Info Zina A1096944 is a 16 year old cat that was surrender because the previous owner is currently homeless. Client stated she initially found Zina as a stray. Client stated zina has never suffered any health issues or injuries. Socialization Zina is described as independent and shy. Around strangers stays to herself, if someone approaches her she will hiss. After some time zina will approach for limited petting. Zina has been around other cats. Around cats she is fearful and very shy. She will hide for hours if another cat is in the home. Zina has no experience around dogs or children. Behavior Zina has never bitten anyone or animal. Zina only like to be held and rubbed by the previous owner. Zina isn’t bothered by the following, loud sounds or sudden movements/being pushed off furniture/ being awoken from its sleep/ Zina has no record of any litter box issues. For a new family to know Zina would be best in 1 person home. Zina was fed both wet and dry foods separately throughout the day. Zina isn’t very responsive to toys. She is indoor only. Upon intake Zina was alert nut relaxed upon intake. Zina allowed all handling.

As per previous owner, Zina is described as independent, shy and keeps to herself when around strangers. If they approach her she’ll hiss and she needs some to warm up before interacting. She has been around other cats and was fearful and shy around them. She will hide for hours if another cat is in the home and she has no experience around dogs or children. Zina has never had litter box issues and she isn’t bothered by loud noises or sudden movements. Reaction to assessor: Zina was relaxed at the front of the kennel and meows softly for attention. Reaction when softly spoken to: Zina continues reaching out and is very demanding of attention. Reaction to cage door opening: Zina is calm and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Zina rubs up against the assessor, meows softly and allows petting all over her body. She gives soft head butts and continues to vocalize when interacting with her. Reaction to being picked up: Zina is calm, relaxed and has a soft body when held. Behavior Determination: Average Zina interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
