11/01/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Zeta was brought in without information on his behavioral tendencies in his previous home environment. He lived with lots of other cats and appeared well during intake. He was relaxed during his initial medical exam and allowed the medical team to handle him without issue. Reaction to assessor: Zeta was calm and relaxed by the front. Reaction when softly spoken to: Zeta squints his eyes and lowers his body, looking at the assessor with tilted ears. Reaction to cage door opening: Zeta flinches from the sound of the cage door opening. Reaction to touch: Zeta flinches when touched and wraps his tail tightly against his body. He remains immobile, but he blinks and lip licks throughout the interaction. Behavior Determination: Experienced, No Children Zeta tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
