Zelman was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. He greeted the counselor by the front of his carrier during intake and allowed petting and handling.
EVALUATION:
Cage Condition: Cage is neat
Reaction to assessor: Zelman immediately approaches the front and was calm, relaxed, and friendly.
Reaction when softly spoken to: Zelman rubs his head against the cage door to solicit attention.
Reaction to cage door opening: Zelman remains soft and relaxed.
Reaction to touch: Zelman head-butts and has a soft body posture. He rubs his head against the assessor and is very sweet and solicitous of attention.
Reaction to being picked up: Zelman remains soft and continues to purr when held.
