***SAFE 10/19/16***BEAUTIFUL BROWN AND CREAM BOY WITH GREAT BEHAVIOR RATING NEEDS NEW FRIEND! Six year old, Yado is so incredibly awesome pawesome, he has two volunteer notes. The first one says, “When I walked by Yado’s cage I could not help but stop, as I was amazed with his handsome markings and his gorgeous big blue eyes, that watched me with affection. He is a friendly, lovable guy who would rub against his cage to get your attention. He is playful, just watch him play with a feather, which is so cute. He will paw for you to give him some love, wanting you to rub his head. Don’t forget the body rubs which you will enjoy giving this affectionate guy. He will make a great friend.” Another volunteer writes, “Yado’s hilariously cute face and unique markings make him look like he’s a distant relative to Grumpy Cat, though Yado is anything but grumpy. He’ll scamper right up to you and jam his big blocky head into your hands and arms with affectionate force, gazing up at you with his big, soulful blue eyes.” If that doesn’t convince you, Yado is described as friendly, mellow and affectionate. He has lived with several other cats. They were surrendered due to their former owner moving and deciding not to take them along. Yado is neutered and at nearly 16 lbs., there’s a whole lot of this beautiful boy to love. Please be his hero by offering temporary or purrmanent safe haven. 09/29/16 20:35 BASIC INFORMATION Yado is cream and brown DSH cat that is 6 years old. The owner rescued Yoda when he was a kitten in the street. The owner is surrendering Yoda with his other 3 siblings due to moving to a place that does not allow pets. Yoda has no known illness. SOCIALIZATION Yoda is shy in the beginning and needs a few minutes to warms up to new people. He gentle approached and sniffs. He has lived with children of various ages new born and age 7. He is tolerant of petting and keeps to himself. Yoda has lived with 3 other cats (Spayed/ neutered). They lived in harmony and engage in play. Around dogs he is fearful and hides. BEHAVIOR Yoda is fearful and struggle away having his nails trimmed, getting baths and being picked up and held. He has never had a bite or scratch history. He walks into going into his carrier. Around loud noises or fireworks he is fearful and hides. He always uses his carpet and rough rope scratching post. FOR NEW FAMILIES TO KNOW Yoda is described as friendly, mellow and affectionate. Yoda lounges around the house and sleep next to the other cats in the home. He enjoys playing with balls and strings. He meows when his hungry and follow the owner around the house. He sleeps in the owner’s beds. His diet consists of Cat Chow 1 cup a day. His favorite treats are greenies. He loves to cuddle and play chase. BEHAVIOR DURING INTAKE Yoda during intake was a bit nervous and shy. The cat attempted to flee but allowed to be collard, scanned and photographed.

Yado’s previous owner reports he is shy in the beginning around strangers and needs a few minutes to warm up to new people. He gently approaches them to sniff. He has lived with children and is tolerant of petting, but mostly keeps to himself. He has also lived with three other cats and they all lived in harmony with each other, engaging in play. He is fearful and hides around dogs. He was described as friendly, affectionate, and mellow and enjoys lounging around the home, sleeping next to the cats in the home. The owner says he loves to cuddle and play chase. Reaction to assessor: Yado was partially underneath his bedding, but was calm and relaxed when approached. Reaction when softly spoken to: Yado pokes his head forward and looks around. Reaction to cage door opening: Yado inches forward a little more and appears curious. Reaction to touch: Yado head-butts when touched and comes out from underneath his bedding. He leans in for petting and begins to purr. He is very affectionate throughout the interaction, but tends to look around his surroundings with wide-eyes. Reaction to pick up: Yado remains calm during pick up, but wiggles to be placed back down after a moment. Behavior Determination: Average Yado interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. No known history of behavioral problems. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
