I am a spayed female brn tabby and white domestic sh mix. The shelter thinks I am about 3 YEARS old.
I came in the shelter as a OWNER SUR on 08/15/2016 from NY 10469, owner surrender reason stated was ALLERGIES.

08/15/16 20:28 Xena is shy around strangers She acclimates well if you gice her food, she will like a stranger more. She is good with children, she lived in a home with a 1 year old. She has not been around other cats so her behavior is unknown. Xena does not have issues with the litter box and does not scractch on anything in the house. She has a wood scratch post with rope wrapped around it. Xena does not mind being brushed but she will scratch if you pick her up, try to bathe her or cut her nails. She sleeps in the window seal. She uses clumping litter with a hooded litter box. She is fed fancy feast wet food and meow mix dry food twice a day. Xena was very nervous during intake and when carrier opened she ran out straight into the cage and when approached growled while pressing up against rear of cage. Scaning was done while owner was around and picture was taken in the cage.

Xena’s former owner stated she is shy at first around strangers then warms up after. She is good with children, she lived in a home with a 1 year old. She has not been around other cats so her behavior is unknown. Reaction to assessor: Xena immediately comes soliciting at the front of the cage. Reaction to door opening: Xena remains standing at the front of the cage, relaxed body posture, soliciting attention. Reaction to touch: Xena head-butts the assessor’s hand and appreciates petting on the head and body. Reaction to Being Picked up: Allows the pickup and remains calm. Placement determination: Beginner Xena interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat can go to a beginner home.
