SAFE 6/12/17 This adorable little kitten is feeling a little under the weather! She is mildly dehydrated and isn’t too keen on eating at the moment, but she definitely purrs up a storm when held and petted! She needs placement as soon as possible.

Crusted eye due to conjuctivitis
Eye Cleaned by warm water.
Incoordination neurological movement .
Left or right recumbent.
She can not walk or stand on legs.
No fructure or open wound seen.

History : mother in yard with kittens; concerned about this one so was brought in from SIACC
Subjective: BAR, vocal
Observed Behavior – hissed initially but tolerated exam and was kneading during
Evidence of Cruelty seen – no
Evidence of Trauma seen – no
Objective
T = 101.3 P = 200 R = eup BCS 4-5/9
EENT: Mild mucoid ocular discharge and crusting, somewhat yellow/mucopuruelent in color, conjunctiva hyperemic
Oral Exam: all dec teeth erupted (canines and PMs not fully)
PLN: No enlargements noted
H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupnic
ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated
U/G: F, medium soft bladder, stimulated to urinate (normal yellow urine)
MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, healthy hair coat
CNS: intention tremors, ataxia
Rectal: NP
Assessment
3-4 w old F DSH
1. Suspect cerebellar hypoplasia (ataxia, intention tremors) r/o infectious v other
2. Mild dehydration
3. Mild ocular discharge/conjunctivitis r/o URI
Plan
1. 10 ml SQ LRS
2. Clean eyes with eye wash
3. Apply erythromycin
4. Offer cat food/KMR slurry
5. FVRCP, ponazuril, pyrantel, frontline
6. Check for retro in 2 weeks
7. Contact new hope for placement
Prognosis: Fair to guarded
