SAFE 11/6/17 — 9 year old WHITEY was surrendered by her owner for “personal problems”. Whitey lived with this owner since she was 8 weeks old. She is spayed and has no medical issues. Whitey was said to be friendly, affectionate and loved to follow her owner around. She played with balls and bell toys. Now this poor kitty is sad and very upset at being in the scary shelter and needs a new home asap!! Please consider adopting an older kitty today!

MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, healthy hair coat (prior to sedation)
CNS: mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities
Assessment: Obese, mild dental disease
Plan: Rec weight loss and dental prophylaxis with placement. Continue to monitor while at BACC

Whitey is a 9 year old spayed white and black cat who was surrendered by her owner due to personal problems. The owner stated that she got Whitey as a gift when she was 8 weeks old.

Owner stated that when around strangers Whitey is friendly and outgoing. When playing with adults she is gentle.

Whitey has not spent time in the home around children so it is unknown how she will react.

Whitey has not spent time in the home around dogs so it is unknown how she will react.
Owner stated that Whitey does scratch on the chair even though she has a scratching post made out of rough rope.
When being bathed or having her nails trimmed she will struggle to get away. She enjoys being brushed. Whitey isn’t bothered if she is put in the carrier or disturbed while she sleeps.
Whitey has never bitten a person or another animal.

Owner described Whitey as friendly affectionate and mellow. When at home she will follow her owner around. She likes to play with balls and bells. She has been kept indoors only and eats both wet and dry food. Whitey is used to a hooded litter box with crystal litter.
