WANDA AND HER MAGIC “W” KITTENS – #K16-058959
Safe - 6-2-2016 Brooklyn Rescue: Feline Rescue of SI Please honor your pledges: http://felinerescueofstatenisland.org/donation/
***SAFE 06/02/16***NEW HOPE RESCUE is needed for WANDA, a kitten herself who has 4 kittens of her own. That’s right, WANDA is only about 13 months old, but she was taken to the shelter with 4 wee ones at her side…and they are NOT listed tonight. Who knows why the ACC does what it does, and tonight, the ACC wants Wanda to go away forever while they keep her babies. Everyone knows they will probably just put them on the At-Risk list too, and the whole entire family can only be pulled to safety by a NEW HOPE rescue. Please share their sad story, please pledge toward their care, and please find a NEW HOPE rescue to pull WANDA (and her babies) TONIGHT!
**MUST BE PULLED BY A NEW HOPE RESCUE**

05/29/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Wanda was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. Reaction to assessor: Wanda was curled up in her litter box at the back of the kennel. Reaction when softly spoken to: Wanda has eyes wide and focused on all movements. She lip licks and lowers her head into the litter box. Reaction to cage door opening: Wanda remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Wanda flinches and has a stiff body when touched. She gets uncomfortable, looks around the kennel and attempts to flee. Behavior Determination: New Hope Only Wanda is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and may require further investigation before placement in a home. She is extremely fearful in the shelter environment and does not currently tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
