Hello, my name is Victory. My animal id is #13026. I am a desexed male gray cat at the Brooklyn Animal Care Center. The shelter thinks I am about 12 years old. – P
I came into the shelter as a stray on 18-Nov-2017.
Victory is at risk due to being diagnosed with an Upper Respiratory Infection and will likely require home rest and a series of antibiotics for up to 14 days. This is a contagious illness to other cats. Victory is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.

Allowed all handling Evidence of Cruelty seen – no Evidence of Trauma seen – no Objective P = WNL R = WNL BCS 7/9 EENT: Nuclear sclerosis, ears clean, no nasal discharge noted Oral Exam: Severe dental disease, missing most teeth, severe tartar build up and gingival recession of remaining teeth, pink mm PLN: No enlargements noted H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupnic ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated U/G: neutered MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, slightly unkempt hair coat CNS: mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities Assessment: Geriatric, overweight, dental disease Plan: Blood work scheduled for tomorrow. How is this cat around strangers?: When meeting that staff at the ACC for the first time Victory was friendly and outgoing. He allowed the staff to pick him up and pet him with no problems.

KNOWN HISTORY:: Victory was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home.

Reaction when softly spoken to:: Victory turns towards the assessor and makes eye contact, but doesn’t come forward when coaxed.
