Velvet was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. She was slightly nervous during her initial medical exam, but allowed handling to be conducted. Reaction to assessor: Velvet was calm, relaxed, and friendly when approached. Reaction when softly spoken to: Velvet meows and comes to the front. Reaction to cage door opening: Velvet remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Velvet head-butts, begins to purr, and leans in for petting. Reaction to being picked up: Velvet remains calm and allows handling. Behavior Determination: Beginner Velvet interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat can go to a beginner home.
