CNS: Mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities.

Plan: continue to monitor at ACC
SURGERY: ok for surgery
KNOWN HISTORY: Vanilla was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. His finder said he was friendly and allowed to be picked up and petted.
MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: A little timid, but friendly, easily examined and treated with minimal restraint.
Cage Condition: Cage is neat
Reaction to assessor: Vanilla lying down and relaxed in his cubby. He perks up when the assessor approaches then comes forward to solicit attention.
Reaction when softly spoken to: Vanilla continues chirping and rubs his body up against the cage door.
Reaction to cage door opening: Vanilla is calm and relaxed.
Reaction to touch: Vanilla nudges the assessor’s hand, leans in for rubs and is constantly soliciting attention. His tail quivers and he tends to get a little excited when interacting but he never displays any further reaction. He purrs, rolls around and allows petting all over.
Reaction to being picked up: Vanilla was a bit tense when held, then got antsy and leaped back into the kennel.
