I came in the shelter as a OWNER SUR on 10/29/2016 from NY 11377, owner surrender reason stated was HOARDING. I came in with Group/Litter #K16-079712.

11/01/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Upsilon was brought in without information on her behavioral tendencies her previous home environment. She lived with lots of other cats and appeared well during intake. She was tense and nervous during her initial medical exam, but allowed all handling to be conducted. Reaction to assessor: Upsilon was lying down, calm and relaxed upon approach. Reaction when softly spoken to: Upsilon looks at the assessor with almond-shaped eyes. Reaction to cage door opening: Upsilon becomes stiff and alert. Reaction to touch: Upsilon gets up slightly as the assessor extends their hand, but remains immobile during touch. Her body is tense and her ears tilt sideways while she shifts her gaze from me to the cage door opening. Behavior Determination: Experienced, No Children Upsilon tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. She may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
