11/19/2016 PET PROFILE MEMO
11/19/16 10:37 Tyrion A1097316 is a 2yr old neutered male gray tabby DSH feline who was found in the finder’s building a week ago in the Bronx. They aren’t able to keep him any longer but stated Tyrion is perhaps fearful of children as he would hiss and or hide from their 3 young children. Tyrion used a litter box, scratched on items in the home, ate dry Meow Mix cat food through out the day, slept on the couch and allowed the finder to pet and pick him up. They stated he didn’t resist being placed into a carrier. During intake Tyrion allowed some handling. He allowed to be scanned (-) as I attempted to collar him he hissed, became tense and crouched his body. To not further upset Tyrion I picked up him (which he didn’t seem to mind) and was placed into a kennel with ease.

11/22/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Tyrion looks neutral, crouched position with head up when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Tyrion remains in place, soft body posture, alert with normal shape eyes. Reaction to touch: Tyrion began to slowly sniff the assessor’s hand then accepts a brief stroke on the head, but becomes agitated and hisses/swats. Placement determination:NH ONLY Tyrion is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room. He is stressed in the shelter environment and does not currently tolerate petting. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
