Hello, my name is Twister. My animal id is #9367. I am a female blue cat at the Manhattan Animal Care Center. The shelter thinks I am about 2 years 1 weeks old. – P
I came into the shelter as a returns on 20-Oct-2017.
Twister is at risk due to FIV
Twister 9367 is at risk for her medical condition, including an upper respiratory infection (URI) and FIV. Please see the veterinary notes for further details and clarification. Behaviorally, Twister has been social and affectionate in the care center and is suitable for a first-time adopter.

Was returned– Here on 10/10/17 Spayed female Scan positive for a microchip Poss. URI occurring Constant sneezing Watery eyes According to the owner Twizzler ” has not eaten anything for 3 days and has not defecated for 5 days. Will be kept in medical for further observation

Behavior Condition: 1. Green
She was receptive to handling and allowed collaring. She came out of the carrier willingly. She had a loose body, eyes were constricted and ears forward.
KNOWN HISTORY:: Twister was brought in as a stray, so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies in a home environment. During intake, she was receptive to handling and allowed collaring. She came out of the carrier willingly. She had a loose body, eyes were constricted and ears forward.
MEDICAL BEHAVIOR:: Observed Behavior -allows exam
ENRICHMENT NOTES:: 10/11/17 Sitting up on bedding, soft eyes and body. Meowed and started rubbing against the bars when spoken to. Tolerated body pets while eating, grumbled when pet on head. Seems social, but unsure of contact. 10/12/17 Came to the front on approach, very energetic today! Started rubbing against and reaching through the bars. Stayed at the front when door opened. Leaned and arched into pets, purred. Continually tried to walk out of kennel, but easily picked up and placed back inside.

Reaction to assessor:: Twister immediately comes soliciting at the front of the cage.
Reaction when softly spoken to:: Twister responds with a meow.
Reaction to cage door opening:: Twister remains standing at the front of the cage, relaxed body posture, soliciting attention.
Reaction to touch:: Twister head-butts the assessor’s hand and appreciates petting on the head and body.
Reaction to being picked up:: Allows the pickup and remains calm.
