11/23/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Tuna was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. Reaction to assessor: Tuna was lying down, curled up in his litter box at the back of the kennel. Reaction when softly spoken to: Tuna lifts his head up, his ears perk up and he becomes alert. Reaction to cage door opening: Tuna lies motionless. Reaction to touch: Tuna lip licks and looks around wary of his surroundings when the assessor extends his hand out. He sniffs the assessor’s hand then leans in for rubs and allows petting all over with a slow approach. His body slowly rises up as he leans in when pet, he gives soft head butts and he slowly builds up confidence. He slowly approaches the front as he solicits attention but easily gets startled then retreats back into his litter box. Reaction to being picked up: Tuna was a bit tense when picked up, remains calm then leaps back into the kennel. Behavior Determination: Experience Tuna may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
