08/25/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Tulip was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. Reaction to assessor: Tulip was resting on his blanket at the back of the kennel. Reaction when softly spoken to: Tulip wakes up, becomes alert and watches the assessor with wide eyes. Reaction to cage door opening: Tulip remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Tulip hesitant of contact and slowly leans back as you approach him. He closes his eyes, allows petting all over and appreciates attention. His body relaxes, he starts purring and he slowly comes forward with his tail up and brushes up for attention. Reaction to being picked up: Tulip has a tense body and allows all handling. Behavior Determination: Experience Tulip may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
