***SAFE 08/26/16***SWEET LITTLE SCARED TULIA is an 8 week old female torbie and white kitten who was brought into the shelter as a stray and desperately needs to be rescued or she will sadly be killed tomorrow at the shelter. SWEET TULIA is TINY AND GORGEOUS with adorable white socks and boots. She is afraid at the shelter (Who wouldn’t be?) When TULIA is spoken to, she stress meows. This little kitten has something to say! She loves having her cheeks rubbed and gently leans in for more petting! TULIA would make a wonderful pet in an experienced pet home with no children, where this sweet little gem could bond with her owner and become the lap cat she’s meant to be! PLEASE RESCUE TERRIFIC TULIA TODAY!! She will pay you back with purrs and love!!!

08/24/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Tulia was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. Reaction to assessor: Tulia was hiding underneath her blanket at the back of the kennel. Reaction when softly spoken to: Tulia shifts around and starts stress meowing. Reaction to cage door opening: Tulia remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Tulia hisses when you approach her and lower her body when pet. She closes her eyes when pet but slowly leans in when rubbed on her cheeks. Reaction to being picked up: Tulia is tense when held and buries her head into the assessor’s arms. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Tulia tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. She may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his or her new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
