11/04/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Trixie was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. Reaction to assessor: Trixie was resting on his blanket with his tail at his side looking out at the assessor. Reaction when softly spoken to: Trixie meows softly then slow blinks and doesn’t get up or come forward when coaxed. Reaction to cage door opening: Trixie is alert and slowly leans back when the door opens. Reaction to touch: Trixie is hesitant of contact and slowly leans away with wide eyes when the assessor extends his hand out. He closes his eyes and starts stress meowing when touched on his head then hisses and moves away. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Trixie tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
