I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 11/30/2016 from NY 10468, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY.

11/30/16 09:42 BASIC INFO Tristan A1098271 is a feral cat. Tristan was trapped into a cat carrier by finder by placing food inside of carrier. Finder cannot keep. Finder brought Tristan to ACCNYC. BEHAVIOR DURING INTAKE Tristan was very stressed inside of cat carrier and trying to flee. Counselor placed cat carrier up to cat kennel and Tristan quickly went into kennel.

Reaction to assessor: Tristan looks tense, hiding in the cat den when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Tristan remains stiff in place, alert with eyes dilated. Reaction to touch: Tristan does not accept the stroke then hisses, bites, and swats at the assessor’s hand. Placement determination: NH ONLY Tristan is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room. She is extremely fearful in the shelter environment and does not currently tolerate petting. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
