***SAFE 01/30/18***TERRIFIC TRISTAN HAS GREAT BEHAVIOR RATING…ALL HE IS MISSING IS YOU!!! WATCH HIS VIDEO! A volunteer writes: Terrific Tristan. White fur with whimsical markings. A splash of grey on his white face makes him look like he has feathered bangs and a grey tail looks like it was hand painted on. Add to the mix brilliant green almond-shaped eyes and you have a handsomely unique package. Tristan was sitting comfortably in his cubby. I opened the condo door and laid in a trail of treats. He zoomed out of his cubby and ate the treats with gusto! As my reward, I was the recipient of head butts and nose kisses. Tossing him a tiny stuffed toy fish, he turned into a big kitten. He batted the toy around for all it was worth. Then he sweetly laid his head down on the toy, the way a child cuddles a stuffed animal. Enchanting! Want to brighten your world? Let Tristan into your heart and your home today.
7 yr old TRISTAN was dumped by his owner due to allergies. He is already neutered but has severe dental issues. THIS BOY IS POSITIVELY PURRFECT EXCEPT FOR A CURABLE KITTY COLD FOR WHICH HE IS BEING TREATED. BE TRISTAN’S HERO BY RESERVING BY NOON TOMORROW. CONTACT HELP DESK FOR ASSISTANCE.
MANHATTAN CENTER
Hello, my name is Tristan. My animal id is #18064. I am a desexed male white cat at the Manhattan Animal Care Center. The shelter thinks I am about 7 years 2 weeks old. – P
I came into the shelter as a owner surrender on 11-Jan-2018, with the surrender reason stated as person health – medical.
Original Location: 10455
Tristan is at risk for medical reasons, having been diagnosed with an Upper Respiratory Infection, which is contagious to other cats. Behaviorally, we have no concerns for Tristan, whom we believe would be suitable for most homes.
Let’s get to know each other a bit more…

For a New Family to Know: He can be described as affectionate gentle, and a good companion animal. Some favorite/unique things about him are that he is obedient, he follows commands, he corrects himself immediately while being scolded, and that he empathetic/sympathetic towards people’s feelings; if he sees someone that he personally knows, crying, he will approach them and comfort them, for example. When home, he will follow you around, sit on you, on his own terms, and be in the same room. He likes balls, string, stuffed toys, and Catnip toys. He has been kept indoors only. He likes to sleep on the bed, close to his human(s), or on a living room chair. He eats both wet food and dry food. In his previous homes with his previous owner, the litter box was located outside the bedroom, in the hallway, or the bathroom, in a quiet, easily accessible, closed-off area. His litter box was scooped at least 2 times a day. He uses the type of litter box that is uncovered. He uses the type of litter that is clumping/scented, of the brand Freshstep, or Nature’s Best (corn). He scratches on the type of scratching post that is made out of cardboard and is horizontal, but sometimes he will scratch on the wall after going potty.
