07/17/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Torbs was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. She was friendly upon intake, but was tense and nervous during her initial medical exam and hissed. Reaction to assessor: Torbs was lying down, calm and relaxed. Reaction when softly spoken to: Torbs looks at the assessor with relaxed eyes. Reaction to cage door opening: Torbs remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Torbs leans in for petting and begins to purr loudly. Her tail flickers, but she continues to lean in for petting. Reaction to being picked up: Torbs becomes antsy and struggles to be placed back down. When placed back in her kennel, she nips the assessor’s hand lightly. She continues to allow petting, however. Behavior Determination: Experience Torbs tolerates attention and petting but may dislike being picked up. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
