TOMMY – A1081109
Gone - 7-17-2016 Brooklyn
***GONE 07/17/16*** Tommy is a 4 year old cream color tabby found as a stray. The ACC’s “doctors” are treating him for some wound he received while on the run. This poor boy needs a place to rest and be the handsome cat he was meant to be. Right now, he’s like The Who’s song, “Tommy.” Workers at the shelter are deaf, dumb and blind to him! Tommy is just another cat out of thousands that have passed through their doors. Make him stand out and be noticed by applying to adopt or foster this lost boy tonight!

07/16/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Tommy was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. Reaction to assessor: Tommy was resting on her blanket at the back of the kennel. Reaction when softly spoken to: Tommy doesn’t come forward and has eyes focused on all movements. Reaction to cage door opening: Tommy remains neutral. Reaction to touch: Tommy sniffs the assessor’s hand and flinches when touched. He closes his eyes when pet along his body and seems to appreciate attention. Tommy lip licks, doesn’t come forward and slowly turns his head away. Reaction to being picked: Tommy has a tense body, struggles and grumbles when picked up. Please note that this cat is being treated for a wound so we may not be seeing any true behavior and behavior may change when the cat’s medical condition improves. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Tommy tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his or her new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
