*** SAFE 09/25/17 *** TOM HAS A VIDEO! A staff member writes: Tom is ready for her retirement after years of dealing with Jerry!! This sweet girl is looking for the perfect home where she can do her favorite things: sitting by your feet and lounging around with an owner to match her mellow personality. Although she is a bit shy at first, Tom warms right up after rubbing her cheeks and she will not want you to stop sharing the love!
Tom is a bit older but a sweetheart who deserves relaxing with a loving owner in her golden years.
10 year old Tom lost her home when owner moved. Needs retirement home now!

She has no health problems or injuries that the family is aware of. Around strangers, Tom is shy for a few minutes but eventually comes by the strangers and sits by their feet. She has not lived with children or dogs so her behavior is unaware. She has lived with another female cat, unknown age, and was reportedly tolerant of her. Tom does not play with adults or the other cat. She has not bitten a person or another person. Owner states that Tom scratches her couch and wooden walls. In the past 3 months, Tom has started to pee and poop outside of the litter box in the bathroom. She has not seen a vet for this problem. Tom has not been given a bath. She struggles when her nails are being trimmed and placed in a carrier. She is not bothered by being brushed out and picked up and held. Tom is a friendly, mellow, and independent cat with a low activity level. She enjoys spending her days lounging around or sleeping. She was kept indoors only. She was given both wet food and dry food. She was provided with a hooded litter box with clumping clay. She would scratch on furniture and walls.
