This poor Tom cat has a severe, deep wound on his arm that goes almost down to the bone. He will need constant bandage changes and follow up.

Bandage removed because it was so tight and the paw was swollen
Pt sedated with 0.1 cc telazole IV, 0.06 ccbuprenophine SC
Flushed,Cleaned,debrid necrotic tissues of both wounds with LRS
2/0 monosorb used to close both wounds
100cc LRS given SC
0.4 cc convenia inj given SC
should continue the clavomox and the baytril daily
Pt should be on E coller

INT: full coat, flea dirt, LH nail #3 avulsed, with surrounding skin laceration and blood, LF medial antebrachium 2 opposing wounds (one small 1 cm and one large 3.5 cm, severe swelling

MS BCS 3.5/9 muscle atrophy
flushed and cleaned both wounds with LRS, large amount of necrotic tissue and purulent debris extracted, LF wound is about 3.5 cm wide, with surrounding area of questionable integrity, debrided with gauze, wound is down to muscle , close to bone. SSD cream, telfa applied, bandage placed
R lateral limb X ray of LF, edema, SC emphysema, no fx present
0.2 cc penG, 0.16 baytrill 100 mg/ml given SC, 100 cc SC LRS
A: severe wound
P: pt is unmanageable at ACC. plea sent to NH, deadline for tomorrow evening. Needs extensive wound care and daily bandage changing to possible preserve limb, SC with baytril inj, oral clavamox, buprenorphine
