Radiographs of the LF foot obtained.
Attempted to soak and clean LF paw. caseous and bloody discharge came from the paw and was obviously very painful. Soaked in dilute chlorhexidine briefly, and then returned to kennel.

Oral Exam:clean teeth
PLN: No enlargements noted
H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupnic
ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated
U/G:neutered male
MSI: Ambulatory x 3, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, healthy hair coat. left front foot severely injured–vitality is questionable
CNS: Mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities
Assessment: injury lf foot , possible crushing injury
Prognosis:good, although amputation of foot is a low possiblity
Plan:rads lf foot
clavamox 1ml bid x 14 d
onsior 0.5ml sid x 3 days
simbadol 0.6ml sid x 5 d

100ml SQF, 1ml clavomox PO and 0.7ml simbadol sq
