***SAFE 08/23/16*** TIVKA RETURNED!! TIVKA is a NEUTERED, friendly 3 year old who looks to have been part of a TNR colony at one point….Well meaning police officers picked him up because he was bruised but little did they know he has to worry about a lot more than bruising now!! When he came in early in August he was mellow and friendly…..he was having difficulty with his follow-up medical but at the ACC who wouldn’t……THIS IS A NICE CAT CAUGHT IN A BAD CIRCUMSTANCE!! I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 08/02/2016 from NY 11208, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY.

8/21/16 Sneezing and SND noted on rounds. Move to isolation, start doxycycline 0.9 ml PO SID x10 days. 1088 —- 08/13/16 VET CHECK – RECHECK WOUNDS ON FACE AND EARS BAR. SUPERFICIAL WOUNDS HEALING WELL. NO SIGNS OF INFECTION A: HEALING WOUNDS P: NO ADDITIONAL ANTIBIOTICS INDICATED. 08/02/16 16:19 Lindwood is a stray left ear tipped DSH cat. The cat is all white and brown tabby. Officers picked the up the stray cat because it was bruised up but friendly. During intake Lindwood was friendly, allowed to be collard, scanned and photographed.

Tikva was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. Tikva’s finders report that he was very sweet and allowed handling. Reaction to assessor: Tikva meows softly and approaches the front of the kennel. Reaction when softly spoken to: Tikva is vocal and rubs up against the kennel door. Reaction to cage door opening: Tikva is calm and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Tikva rubs up against the assessor’s hand and allows petting all over his body. He’s very sweet and gives light head butts. Reaction to being picked up: Tikva is a bit tense at first but allows all handling. Behavior Determination: Average Tikva interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
