SAFE 6/13/17 These two handsome kitties are a little shy and overwhelmed in the hustle and bustle of the shelter environment, and would love to find a relaxing, loving forever family to spend the rest of their lives with! They would be happiest in experienced, adult only kitty homes where they can adjust and explore at their own pace.
TIGRE and SHADOW were left at shelter when owner moved. Need new homes!

Cage Condition: Cage recently cleaned
Reaction to assessor: Tigre was crouched and feint sleeping at the back of the kennel.
Reaction when softly spoken to: Tigre slow blinks at the assessor and was reluctant to come forward when coaxed.
Reaction to cage door opening: Tigre shifts his weight and becomes alert.
Reaction to touch: Tigre leans forward to sniff then squints and shifts away from the assessor. He’s a little unsure and takes some time to warm up to touch. He allowed soft, gentle pets on his head and started to raise his rear when rubbed along his back. His body feels tense when touched but he definitely appreciates gentle petting with a slow approach.
Reaction to being picked up: Tigre was very tense when picked up, then got antsy and leaped back into the kennel.
ACTIVITY LEVEL: Laid back
VOCAL: Quiet
CHARACTER TYPE: Timid
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Experienced cat parent – Tigre may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
