A volunteer writes:
When I met this very sweet, big-headed boy today, he looked at me after I called his name, and then looked away shyly. Hmm, I thought, making friends with Tigger might take a little work. So while I whispered to him how handsome he was (this cat likes compliments!), I started batting around one of his toys. He clearly wanted to play, and he went after it, slowly coming out of his shell until he jumped down to the front of his cat condo and let out a hearty meow. Now that we were pals, I told Tigger that I was going to let all of New York know what a wonderful cat he is. Tigger did very well on his behavior assessment and was deemed a great fit for just about any family; he’s quiet, steady, well mannered, and curious. He might make you work a bit to gain his trust, but in return you’ll get his love and loyalty. Win-win!
