SAFE 3/25/18 TIFFANY was brought in by someone who said the cat fell from one floor up and landed outside her window. Tiffany was licking her paw which may have been injured. She was late term pregnant when brought in and immediately gave birth to 4 kittens. Tiffany now needs a foster home where she can raise her kittens. Please help this friendly purring mama cat today.

History : Stray. Finder says that she has seen this cat around for the last few months. Today she saw this cat land outside her window and it seems like the cat fell from one floor up. One of her front paws appeared to be injured – she was licking it.
Subjective: Alert, looks around, walks around exam room
Observed Behavior – Purring, relaxed, allows all handling
Evidence of Cruelty seen – None
Evidence of Trauma seen – None
Objective
BAR-H, MMs pink and moist, BCS 4/9 (hips palpable)
EENT: Eyes clear, ears clean. Possible very mild SND.
Oral Exam: Mild staining, adult teeth.
PLN: No enlargements noted
H/L: NSR, NMA, Lungs clear, eupnic
ABD: Soft, distended, uterus palpable. Non painful.
U/G: Female, prominent firm nipples which are producing a clear white fluid when milked.
MSI: Skin free of parasites, no masses noted, healthy hair coat. No lameness noted x4. No bruises, swelling, wounds or other signs of trauma noted.
CNS: Mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities
Rectal: Normal externally
Assessment:
1. Pregnant – very late term
2. Reported FL lameness – not seen on this exam, R/O mild soft tissue trauma
3. Possible mild URI signs
Prognosis: Good
Plan:
1. Recommend spay ASAP
2. Move to nursery
3. Monitor front legs for pain or lameness

Okay for surgery

recheck thoracic limb lameness noted by finder during intake; not observed on intake exam.
Gave birth to 4 kittens on 3/22/2018(3m, 1f).
-BAR, very friendly. MM pink.
-nursing comfortably in kennel. all kittens appear healthy and are nursing
-eye clear, no discharge or crusting.
-no sneezing or nasal discharge
-no pain on palpation of thoracic limbs. did not observe P walking as she was actively nursing kittens
