03/22/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Tiana does not come to front but remains neutral When spoken quietly: Tiana does not come to front but remains neutral Reaction to door cage opening: Tiana remains motionless Reaction to touch: Tiana allows petting and attention but starts to stress meow Try picking cat up: Tiana is tolerant of this type of handling but tense. Behavior Determination: Experience Tiana was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment she was displaying timid behavior; becomes alert when the kennel was open. Remains motionless as I started to get closer but after a steady slow approach using soft voices she relaxed a little. I was able to pet her and interact with her in a limited way. I was also able to pick her up and although she was tense no fractious behavior was display. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
