History : stray
Subjective: BAR, ~5% dehydrated (prolonged skin tent)
Observed Behavior – Nervous but tolerated all handling without a fight
Evidence of Cruelty seen – no
Evidence of Trauma seen – no

P = wnl R = eupneic BCS 3/9
EENT: clean ears, moderate purulent ocular and nasal d/c, moderate chemosis ou
Oral Exam: kitten dentition, no oral ulcers noted
PLN: No enlargements noted
H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupneic
ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated
U/G: FI, no vulvar d/c, no MGTs
MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, unkempt haircoat with diarrhea on hair and mucoid d/c on face
CNS: mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities
Assessment:
URI with conjunctivitis
Diarrhea
Dehydrated
Underage
Plan: Continue to monitor while at BACC
Cleaned eyes
Start erythromycin OU BID x10d
Start doxycycline 10mg/kg PO SID x10d
Recheck day 5, 10
Recheck hydration in 3 days
LRS 20ml/kg SQ
Prognosis: Good
SURGERY: temporary waiver for surgery due to underage and illness
