09/07/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Glennu was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. Reaction to assessor: Glennu was curled up at the back of the kennel with wide eyes fixated on the assessor. Reaction when softly spoken to: Glennu keeps his body lowered and shifts around the kennel. Reaction to cage door opening: Glennu remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Glennu hisses and shifts away from contact when the assessor extends his hand out. His body is tense, he presses his body up against the back wall and tries to avoid all contact. Reaction to being picked up: Glennu is tense when held, struggles and leaps away. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Glennu tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his or her new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
