THOMAS – A1089532
Gone - 9-16-2016 Manhattan
***GONE 09/16/16*** THOMAS IS NOT SICK – BUT THE ACC WILL SEND HIM TO THE EUTH ROOM JUST BECAUSE THEY CAN!! THOMAS came into the shelter on the 12th with 3 other cats named Felicia (A1089533), Michelle (A1089534) and Francis (A1089535). Thomas has some ear mites and has a small wound from scratching his ears. That’s all. Yet, this orange ginger man is going to die right after his stray hold is up because he was a bit tense on his behavior assessment – even thought he was purrfectly fine at intake. The assessor slapped him with an EXPNOCHILD rating and gave them the excuse to kill. THOMAS is not a bad cat – he is not happy at being in the shelter but allowed all petting and handling. Why the ACC uses such a minute excuse to kill is beyond comprehension especially when Jackson Galaxy supposedly started a program in the shelter specifically for this type of cat. THE ACC ONLY CARES ABOUT LOOKING GOOD AND PUBLICITY BUT IT SEEMS WHEN THE MEDIA EYE IS TURNED, THEY SHOW THEIR TRUE COLORS! PLEASE BE THOMAS’S HERO TONIGHT. DON’T LET HIM BE KILLED FOR NO REASON AT ALL. CONTACT A RESCUE NOW TO OFFER TO FOSTER OR ADOPT!

09/15/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Thomas looks worried, crouched position in his litter box when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Thomas remains in place, tense body posture, alert with eyes wide open. Reaction to touch: Thomas flinches during the stroke and remains stiff with no interest to the touch. Placement determination: Experience/ no child Thomas tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
