**SAFE 07/04/16** Reading between the lines of THEODORE’s surrender notes, it looks suspiciously like this perfect, NEUTERED 13-month-old kitten was abandoned in favor of a YOUNGER kitten in the home. Why’s that? Decide for yourselves, but the younger kitten is mentioned…and if his previous owner really had NO TIME for a cat, or really had moved into a place that didn’t allow pets, wouldn’t that have been the case for BOTH PETS? Think about it, and then think about this: His surrender notes show THEODORE as being good with the kiddos he used to live with, yet the shelter gave him an EXPNOCHILD rating. This is a GOOD BOY who is terrified into atypical behavior by the HORRORS of the ACC….and what’s worse, the person he loved and trusted, is who put him in that situation. Please don’t make another move until you have helped THEODORE make his way to safety, tonight!

07/01/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
The former owner stated that around strangers Thedore is friendly and outgoing. Thedore has lived with children between the ages of 5 and 10 years old, he is gentle and loves to play. He has lived with another 4 month old cat whom he got along well with. Also, describes Thedore as friendly and playful cat with a high activity level. Reaction to assessor: Theodore looks neutral in the cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Theodore stands with tail up, alert with eyes wide open. Reaction to touch: Theodore slowly sniffs the assessor’s hand then began to flehmen react and hiss while he accepts the stroke. He seems conflicted with eyes wandering, leaning into the pets and growling in place. Placement determination: Experience / no child Theodore tolerates attention and petting but may be stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
