The Dude is a domestic shorthair. His owner has had him since he was a young kitten when a friend gave him to him. The Dude has no known health issues or injuries.
The Dude is described as a friendly cat that will tolerate some handling. He will always let you know when he wants to be petted by bunting either your leg or hand. If he is touched without his approval, he will paw at your hand or leave. He loves to play with catnip toys and hide them. He lives with a younger cat and is relaxed and affectionate of him. They both sleep and eat together. He does not have any litterbox issues.
The Dude will let you trim his nails only if he can have the clippings afterwards. He is a independent and confident cat that is not afraid to let you know if he wants affection or food. His owner said he is a great mouser and greatly enjoys playing with catnip mice toys. He warns that they often hide them and he can never find them again. He is an indoor cat only. He was fed Meow Mix dry food because he tends to vomit other brands. The owner has never seeked medical attention for this. The Dude loves to eat human food like pizza crusts, chickens, tuna, and anything crunchy. He is very finicky about his litterbox; if it is not cleaned out multiple times a day, he will refuse to use it. CNS: mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities
Rectal: Not performed
