***SAFE 07/16/16***NEUTERED AND NINE, TAZ IS FINE!! Sadly, TAZ is a RETURN to the ACC….He was brought here with friend MARIO (not listed) ostensibly as “strays” but that seems pretty flimsy…TAZ is a healthy and hefty 18 lbs and was quite friendly when he arrived at the ACC. But they had to start poking him with that plastic hand and that put TAZ on the defensive. TAZ is a great guy who, along with the other 46 cats on the list, doesn’t deserve to be here…..PLEASE HELP TERRIFIC TAZ AND APPLY TO FOSTER OR ADOPT NOW!!

07/12/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Taz looks neutral when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Taz remains sitting upright at the front of the cage, alert with soft eyes. Reaction to touch: Taz accepts a brief stroke on the head, but along the body he becomes agitated to the touch, then hissed and growled at the assessor’s hand. Placement determination: Experience/ no child Taz tolerates attention and petting but may be stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
