MEDICAL BEHAVIOR:
Observed Behavior – hissing, growling, able to perform limited exam w/ gloves/towel
ENRICHMENT NOTES:
12/19/17
[Clicker training] Meows softly when approached and shows interest in tuna puree. She licks it off my finger, but gets too excited and tries to chomp down on it, eager to eat the treat! Took some time to figure out she needed to reach out to give fist bumps for treats (she has extra toes and it’s difficult for her to put her paw through), but she gave a few fist bumps and did very well.
Cage Condition:
Cage is neat
Reaction to assessor:
Tammy was lying on top of the shelf, calm and relaxed.
Reaction when softly spoken to:
Tammy gets up and stretches, and then approaches the front and sniffs around.
Reaction to cage door opening:
Tammy remains soft and relaxed.
Reaction to touch:
Tammy meows softly and sniffs the assessor’s hand. She was hesitant of touch on her head, lowering her head, but allows gentle petting with a slow approach. She accepts petting all over her body, but seems more focused on looking around at her surroundings, indifferent to touch.
Reaction to being picked up:
Tammy rests calmly in the assessor’s arms when held and softly leaps back into the kennel when placed back down.
ACTIVITY LEVEL:
Moderate
VOCAL:
Somewhat chatty
CHARACTER TYPE:
Social
Calm
Independent
