Crouched beneath blanket, completely concealed. Makes eye contact with a tense face as I lift the cover to unveil his head. Tolerates petting along head and shoulders while tilting ears and looking around the room. Nervous – needs more time to adjust.Â

Tense, and hiding underneath his blanket. Slow blinks when spoken to softly, and wouldn’t get up or come forward. He shrinks his body and lip licks when I reached forward to make contact. He slow blinks and remains immobile, but allows gentle petting on his head and along his body with a slow approach. Timid, needs more time to adjust.

Sycamore slow blinks when spoken to softly, and wouldn’t get up or come forward.

Sycamore shrinks his body and lip licks when the assessor extends his hand out. He slow blinks and remains immobile, but allows gentle petting on his head and along his body with a slow approach.

Sycamore is a young cat that may not have had many interactions with humans from an early age. He may be apprehensive of people, but the behavior team believes he has potential to warm up to people. Kittens less than 8 weeks of age can be socialized by almost anyone; however, kittens between 2-4 months may require more time and skill in order for them to be comfortable around people. Please speak to an adoption counselor to learn more about socialization techniques.
