Basic Information:
Sushi was brought into the shelter as a stray so his history is unknown at this time. He appears to be around 2 years old, DSH male.
Behavior Notes:
Sushi was friendly but timid during intake. He was head butting counselor but was reluctant to come out of his carrier. When picked up he did not hiss and allowed counselor to easily collar him.

Sushi is lying in front of her kennel as the assessor approaches, body relaxed and ears forward.
Reaction when softly spoken to:
Sushi rolls over onto her side when spoken to softly.
Reaction to cage door opening:
Sushi sits upright as the cage door opens.
Reaction to touch:
Sushi allows petting along her head and body while leaning in and rolling back over onto her side. She steps to the back of her kennel and begins scent marking her litterbox, rear raised.
Reaction to being picked up:
Sushi remains calm when picked up and held. She retreats to the back of her kennel when placed back down, then turns around to head-butt the assessor’s hand.
