Upon intake, Sundae was slow blinking in her carrier. She allowed me to collar her and take a photo. She began to lick her lips while I tried to take a photo. She allowed me to scoop her up and place her in a kennel.

MEDICAL BEHAVIOR:

Observed Behavior – very sweet, warms up quickly. Easily handleable. Did well for all medical handling and procedures.
ENRICHMENT NOTES:

Crouched in back of kennel, hiding behind litterbox which has been tipped over onto it’s side. Tolerates petting along head and body while tensing up and flattening ears. Eyes are squinted shut as body lowers further. Nervous and unsure, needs more time to adjust.
07/24/18
Crouched in the back of the kennel, tail wrapped around her body. Pupils dilated, a little upset due to loose cat in the room. Starts breathing rapidly when approached. Her eyes dart around the kennel, lip licks. Not open to interacting today. Offered treats, but showed no interest. Kept interaction short. Needs more time to adjust.

Sundae is lying in the back of her kennel as the assessor approaches, ears forward and body neutral.

Sundae makes eye contact when spoken to, then looks away.

Sundae remains in back of her kennel as the cage door opens. Her ears remain forward.
Reaction to touch:
Sundae leans in for petting and accepts touch along her head and body. she stands up after a few passes along her head and body and steps forward with a raised tail.

Sundae remains calm when picked up and lifted out of her kennel.
