11/08/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Stoney was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. Reaction to assessor: Stoney was curled up in the back of the kennel with her eyes focused on the assessor. Reaction when softly spoken to: Stoney curls her tail up at her side, lip licks and doesn’t come forward when coaxed. Reaction to cage door opening: Stoney remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Stoney lip licks and shifts away when the assessor extends his hand out. She has a tense body, becomes immobile when pet on her head, seems uncomfortable then moves away and lowers her body. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Stoney tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. She may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
