07/23/17 15:59 P0967889 Michelle Krolikowski kept A1119489, A1119490, A1119491, A1119492, mainly in the carrier because her dog did not get along with the kittens. She also stated that two allowed handling but the other two would hiss and swat at times. I could not get a detailed profile because she did not socialize the kittens that much.

07/26/2017 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
KNOWN HISTORY: Stash was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: Hissing. Afraid of the plastic hand. EVALUATION: Cage Condition: Cage is slightly re-arranged Reaction to assessor: Stash was curled up tight at the back of her cubby. Reaction when softly spoken to: Stash turns towards the assessor, makes eye contact but doesn’t get up or come forward when coaxed. Reaction to cage door opening: Stash remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Stash lip licks and slowly inches away when the assessor extends his hand out. She lowers her head, accepts petting and slowly warms up with attention. After a few soft pets she closes her eyes then leans in allowing rubs on her cheeks. Reaction to being picked up: Stash was a bit tense when picked up but allows all handling. ACTIVITY LEVEL: Laid back VOCAL: Quiet CHARACTER TYPE: Timid POTENTIAL CHALLENGES: Kitten socialization – Stash is a young cat that may not have had many interactions with humans from an early age. She may be apprehensive of people, but the behavior team believes she has potential to warm up to people. Kittens less than 8 weeks of age can be socialized by almost anyone; however, kittens between 2-4 months may require more time and skill in order for them to be comfortable around people. Please speak to an adoption counselor to learn more about socialization techniques. RECOMMENDATIONS: Experienced cat parent – Stash may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
