Hello, my name is Starfire. My animal id is #17986. I am a female champagne cat at the Manhattan Animal Care Center. The shelter thinks I am about 11 months old. – P
I came into the shelter as a aco impound on 10-Jan-2018.
Starfire is at risk for medical reasons, having been diagnosed with Upper Respiratory Infection, which is contagious to other cats. We have not conducted a formal behavior assessment for Starfire, but she was easy to handle on intake, and has shown no concerning signs whilst in shelter.

[DVM Intake] DVM Intake Exam Estimated age: 11 months Microchip noted on Intake? none Microchip Number (If Applicable): History : was in a home where hoarding occurred then owner died Subjective: docile, very hungry, offered canned food and ate readily Observed Behavior – allows all handling Evidence of Cruelty seen -yes, was part of hoarding case Evidence of Trauma seen -no Objective P = 170 R = 30 BCS 3.5-4/9 EENT: slightly sunken eyes, mild mucopurulent d/c OU, mild conjunctivitis OU, OD- tiny central area of corneal neovascularization, approx 2mm area of white/opaque scarring, attempted to perform ophthalmic exam but p face shy, ears clean, no nasal or ocular discharge noted, but was sneezing. Audible mild congestion Oral Exam: quick look- p face shy- oligodontia, light pink gums, mild tartar and gingivitis PLN: No enlargements noted H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupnic ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated U/G: FI, grossly normal MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, slightly slow skin tent CNS: Mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities Assessment FI URI with congestion and conjunctivitis OD- central corneal scarring and neovascularization, no fluor stain uptake underweight, 3-5% dehydrated oligodontia with mild dental and periodontal disease Prognosis: good with appropriate care Plan: fluorescein stain OU: negative uptake OU LRS 50ml SQ given, then SID x3 days cerenia 10mg/ml: 0.2ml SQ given for congestion Pet Tinic 0.5ml PO SID x10days doxycyline 50mg/ml: 0.5ml PO SID x10days terramycin ophthalmic ointment OU BID x10days SURGERY: Temporary waiver due to underweight, URI
