10/26/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Star Girl was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. Reaction to assessor: Star Girl was curled up in the back of the kennel with her tail at her side. Reaction when softly spoken to: Star Girl seems unsure of contact, makes eye contact with the assessor but doesn’t come forward. Reaction to cage door opening: Star Girl becomes alert and looks around at her surroundings. Reaction to touch: Star Girl sniffs the assessor’s hand and allows petting along her body. Her body feels a bit tense and she periodically lip licks throughout the interaction. After a couple soft passes she tilts her head and leans in when rubbed on her cheeks but she feels confident at the back and doesn’t come forward. Behavior Determination: Experience Star Girl may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
