STACHE – A1087138
Gone - 9-1-2016 Brooklyn
***GONE 09/01/16*** HANDSOME STACHE NEEDS A HERO TONIGHT – IS THERE ANYBODY OUT THERE WHO WOULD LOVE A HEALTHY 2 YEAR OLD TUXIE?? STACHE came into the shelter as a stray. He is perfectly healthy. But he is afraid. He allowed all petting and handling but was tense and given an EXPNOCHILD rating. This is ridiculous because the shelter is supposed to have a program to help relax these adoptable cats. It’s sad that they don’t even do what they brag about in the public eye. STACHE needs rescue now. The ACC doesn’t wait long to kill these cats and since STACHE won’t jump through hoops for them, they just don’t care about his life or future. EMAIL THE HELP DESK NOW TO SAVE STACHE. THIS KITTY SHOULD BE FINE ONCE OUT OF THE SCARY SHELTER AND GETS SOME GOOD OLD TLC FROM HIS ADOPTER. EMAIL [email protected] FOR RESCUE INFO.

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Stache was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. Reaction to assessor: Stache was curled up in the litter box at the back of the kennel. Reaction when softly spoken to: Stache becomes alert with wide eyes focused on all movements and his tail curled up at his side. Reaction to cage door opening: Stache lip licks and remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Stache rises up and looks around wary of his surroundings. His ears bend flat as you approach and he tolerates petting briefly. After a few soft passes he hisses and quickly shifts away avoiding contact. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Stache tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his or her new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
