ENRICHMENT NOTES:
04/09/18
Crouched in back of kennel, body and face tense. Tolerates petting along head and body while curling tail around feet and shifting weight. Ears flatten. Uncomfortable, needs more time to adjust.
04/10/18
Lying in litterbox, body and face tense. She sniffs my hand as I reach towards her, then settles back into her box and licks her lips as she maintains eye contact. Pupils are dilated. Nervous and unsure – she sniffs the treats I place down next to her but doesn’t eat them during out interaction. Needs more time to adjust.
04/11/18
Sitting down and resting inside her litter box. She looks over at the assessor with soft eyes and starts lip licking when spoken to softly. She seems a little unsure of her surroundings when first approached, but she leans in to sniff my hand and slow blinks when pet along her body. She continues to lip lick throughout the interaction and slowly rises up out of her litter box and approaches the front of the kennel. She appreciates attention, but seems to be a little wary and retreats whenever she hears or sees someone walk by the kennel.
