05/08/16 12:57 Spirit is a 5 year old Neutered male Lynx Pt cat who was being taken care of by the previous owner’s neighbor. Spirit is friendly and outgoing around strangers but has not been around another animal. Spirit has been using a litter box with shredded paper and loves to drink water from the sink. Spirit has been eating Purina dry cat food and some wet food mixed in as well once a week. Spirit loves to eat bacon and chicken which was some of the human food his care taker had fed him. Spirit has played with many toys and is describe to be a lap cat. Spirit has never bitten or scratches anyone or animal as far as what the caretaker can tell. Spirit was walking back and forth in his crate; he also was nudging the crate door as well. Spirit had a soft body allowed us to scan (-) him, pet him and collar him as well. He was headbutting me alot as I was doing these things.

Spirit’s former owner stated he is friendly and outgoing around strangers but has not been around another animal. Reaction to assessor: Spirit immediately comes soliciting at the front of the cage. Reaction to door opening: Spirit remains standing at the front of the cage, relaxed body posture, soliciting attention. Reaction to touch: Spirit head-butts the assessor’s hand and appreciates petting on the head and body. Reaction to Being Picked up: He becomes antsy then jumps back into the cage. Placement determination: Beginner Spirit interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat can go to a beginner home.
