**SAFE 09/02/16** POOR SPICY…her ACC profile reads “abandoned in front of Bronx Veterinary Center”– she and her friend, (GINGER – A1085737) were carted into the local Manhattan kill shelter. Did whoever abandoned them think that the vets at Bronx Vet Center would keep them and put them up for adoption? Well, guess what? They didn’t, and how these two very frightened cats who have probably never known anything but a home face death. We don’t know what Ginger’s fate is yet, but we have SPICY who is very much in need and would so benefit from love-and someone to reassure her that life isn’t being dumped or abandoned but about being part of a family..Will you say, “Yes, sweetie, I’ll save you?” Even if it means fostering? Save SPICY TODAY!!!

08/20/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Spicy looks tense, crouched position at the back of the cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Spicy remains in place, alert with eyes wandering. Reaction to touch: Spicy continues to hiss at the assessor’s hand while she accepts the stroke on the head and remains wary with her surroundings. Placement determination: Experience / no child Spicy tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
